My watercolors reflect my personality: upbeat, eclectic, mostly realistic, and colorful. For all of my adult life I have painted what is appealing to me; whether it is land, sea, floral, reflections, or children playing on the beach.

I especially enjoy painting children and animals in natural settings such as oceans, lakes, forests, parks, and gardens, and use my own photography as a reference. I am drawn to flowers dappled in sunlight, interesting shadow patterns, reflections on glass, and the play of natural light on my subjects. I also enjoy doing commissioned paintings of people, pets, houses, and gardens. ~ Lynne M. Atwood
